I did my TPI profile and I am in my 28th year of teaching, and I too found it to be somewhat of a straight line. the clear dominant one was nurturing - like you. I was a high school teacher for 12 years, but I am now in my 8th year of teaching elementary (grade 6 in a Middle School). I can see how "nurturing is my dominant trait. After, in a family of 8, I was the 2nd oldest, and the oldest of 5 boys. Coached them all in hockey, and some in baseball (one of my sisters too - the only one in sports of the girls). Always was kind of a nurturing one in that way.
Nothing else really stood out, except that transmission was the lowest. A bit of a surprise to me. I usually try to introduce new concepts, theories, etc. in a way that allows students to try to figure things out themselves. Also serves as a diagnostic lesson. I find it you just tell or explain everything, it often just goes in one ear and out the other. I do think sometimes I talk too much though!
